Our
A-Team visited Graz for the first tour of 2010.
The indoor tournament took place from the 30th
to the 31st of January 2010. Our team was
boosted by the arrival of Satyam Subhash and Lakmal
Kasturiarachchige from England. After a two and a
half hour drive, we arrived straight at the gym. Our
first match was against Steyr CC. The opposition
wasn’t very strong.

I am writing to say
that you have probably seen that the DCB has won an
ICC Pepsi Regional Development Award for Women's and
one for Youth cricket and this is to thank you and
the ACC for your contributon to those awards, which,
though they go in name to Germany, could not have
been achieved if you hadn't supported youth
tournaments by sending teams to Tegernsee and Munich
for a long time now, and, of course, you and Walter
going to those places yourselves.
Also, you made your
supurb ground and facilities and personnel available for
the German women's training camp. I used that and
one of the great photos you took in my presentation
entry for the award. Thanks for that.
The linking of
countries (Austria, German, Switzerland, Hungary ect.)
for youth and women's cricket is a real plus for the
growth of cricket in Europe, long may it continue.
